My Least Favorite

A few months ago Mama LaMay was visiting and asked me what my least favorite movie is. Whoa. Hold the phone. I can tell you all my favorites, all the ones I love to hate, but I have never been asked what is my least favorite.

My roommate, Kristin, will not be happy about my answer......

I really dislike this one. You can't deny that the visual effects are spectacular, but that's where any greatness ends. The acting was fine, the story was thrice recycled, and three hours? Really? And the hype - oh, the hype!

Therefore, Avatar wins the award for being my least favorite movie.
A veeeeeery close second is Pay It Forward. I don't like movies that try too hard to make you feel something. That movie feels forced and makes me uncomfortable. Also, Helen Hunt's hair color is awful.

What is your least favorite? Which movie do you despise?

I loathed Avatar. I loathed Pay it Forward. I loathed The Conspirator (Robin Wright as the chick who got hanged after Lincoln's assassination? Boring). I loathe many movies but that's all I can think of :)

FINALLY! Someone who thinks like I do about the Avatar! That movie's overrated.

Avatar for sure sucks. Pay it Forward was meh. But the cake-taker of all suck movies that take the cake is...

"The Expendables". Written by, Directed By, and Starring .... Sylvester Stallone. Need I say more?

Oh, darling NMN... You have broken my heart here. I like Avatar for very basal reasons (not all of which are publicly share-able). I think the hype was too much (I didn't even see it until it was out on DVD at Blockbuster), the animation was meh and the storyline was a repeat of Dances with Wolves and/or Fern Gully. I'll give you the reasons for my obsession later.

Worst Movie Ever Award: Castaway, Black Hawk Down, 30 Minutes or Less, anthing with Nick Swardson or Jim Carrey in it.

Ok, ok, I just remembered the most boring and pointless movie ever: Adam. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1185836/. It looks decent but is soooo slow and lame.
